We had our first competition on Sunday and 2 teams received trophies, we are now starting block 2.

Here is the study guide:

October 13th–Study questions 201-276, Quotes 328,329,330,331,332, Review 1-61

October 20th– Study questions 201-300 Quotes 333,334,339 , Review 62-125

October 27th–Study questions 201-325 Quotes 340,341,342,343,344 Review 126-175

November 3rd–Study questions 201-350 Quotes 349,350 Review 175-200

November 8th–Round robin competition

BLOCK 1 –COMPETITION

We have now completed block 1 material (200 questions). Our first competition will be on Sunday October 4th from 1:15 -approx 4:30. I need all players to wear a CAL uniform shirt (blue or red). If you have any questions before Sunday please let us know.

Update on 9-22-09

As of today we have went over 1-175 questions. Next week we will have a quiz over all of Block 1. This is for questions 1-200.

Each student needs to remember to bring their book to class. We are giving points if the child brings the their book, what they score on their quizzes, extra credit points ie: word puzzles, quote pages. They even get a point for coming to class. Please help/encourage you children to review the old material and study the new. I am very excited about the material this year (the study of Acts) and the way your children have embraced learning God’s word.

Sept 1st -questions 1-61 (we had a quiz over this material

Sept 8th -no practice (should be studying at home)

Sept 15th questions 1-125 (there will be a quiz over all these questions and each player needs to write one quote)

Sept 22nd questions 1-175 (quiz over all questions and write a new quote) questions 126-175 are in the back of the binder starting on page 63

Sept 29th questions 1-200 (quiz over all material in block 1 and write a new quote)

October 4th competition at Southeast Christian Church (1:30-5:00)

Tuesdays–Practice every Tuesday after school until 4:30

Competitons will be at Southeast Christian Church in the six plex (upstairs in education wing)

These are the dates for competition. They are from 1:30-5:00 (please arrive approx 15 min early)

December 13th

January 17th-18th Winter games Sunday 17th (1:30-7:00) & Monday 18th (8:30-3:00)

February 21st

March 21st

April 25th

June 11th-12th Main Game event; Both days 8:30-4:30

July 1st-4th National Competition in Denver, Colorado

Sept 1st,

We had our 1st practice today that went very well. Our next practice will be on Sept. 15th. We will have a test over questions 1-125 and they will be able to write one quote. The longest quote gets them the most points. The best way to study this material is to go over a small amount daily.

Our first practice is Tuesday September 1st in Mrs. Webb’s room from 2:40-4:30. If your child goes to afterschool care we will take them there. Otherwise you will need to be at the elementary doors at 4:30 to pick your child up.
